What a season we witnessed at the Bull Ring. There were plenty of cheers and tears, miscommunication, drama, and plain ole’ good racing.
This past Saturday night was the last race for 2016-2017 season. To top it off there was a full moon, which always brings out the crazy, for an unknown reason, people seem to react with much more ‘passion.’ In the end, we are a racing family and should be happy for the other driver’s in their successes, it’s what we do.
By far the tightest point’s race was in the Open Class. Going into the night there was a mere 10 point spread between first place driver, Chase Majdic, and second place, Mike Wheeler.
Beginner Box Stock:
Going into the night there was no chance anyone could take the championship away from Connor Grasty, then he showed his strength, by once again, going to the top of the board in qualifying. He qualified with a time of 11.445. Second through sixth was: Austin Anderson, Chevy Schroer, Luke Hayes, Taylor Fuller, and Jake Myers.
Congratulations go out to Luke Hayes for getting his first trophy dash win.

Chance Grasty qualified first with a time of 9.945, qualifying at the top in all 13 races. Second through sixth was: Preston Carr, Alan Pyszora, Blake Burgess, Tyler Fox, and Wade Wittman. There was another first time trophy dash winner, when Tyler Fox came across the finish line with a commanding lead. Congratulations Tyler, nice job kiddo.

A Main: Several laps into the race Trevor Grimes entered the hot pits, under green flag racing, then exited the track, ending his night. A caution came out when Blake Martin stalled going into turn 1. In turn 4, Martin, Jace Lafferty, and Kai Sorenson tangled bringing out a caution. The final caution came out when Garrin McNary slowed on the back stretch, entering the hot pits for repairs.
Taking home the win was Joel Myers, Jr. closely followed by Carly Holmes. Tyler Fox capped off the season with a third place finish. 4th through 15th was: Chance Grasty, Rylinn Renaud, Conner Mewhirter, Kai Sorenson, Preston Carr, Blake Burgess, Makenna Gannon, Jace Lafferty, Evan Gunderson, Garrin McNary, Blake Martin, and Trevor Grimes.
Top 10 in Points:
Chance Grasty, Preston Carr, Rylinn Renaud, Carly Holmes, Joel Myers, Jr., Tyler Fox, Conner Mewhirter, Wade Wittman, Blake Burgess, and Jace Lafferty.
Carsen Perkins went to the top of the board over Lexi Raudman, Raymond Baldez, Anissa Curtice, Tanner Holmes, and Carson Sousa, with a time of 8.764.
Going into the night with a fifty-five point lead, he secured the championship merely by showing up, but Tanner Holmes wasn’t finished showing the crowd why he was the champion in the 250 class, when he resoundingly got the win in the dash.
1: Maximos Mittry, Carsen Perkins, Tanner Holmes, Jaiden Curfman-Levy, Savanna Cardenas, Skyler Cole, and Matt Robinson.
Heat 2: Kaiden Butler, Carson Sousa, Kinden Peacock, Blake Rauscher, Lexi Raudman, Tyler Driever, and Hunter Mason.
Heat 3: Tyler Matheny, Raymond Baldez, Tanner Pettit, Carson Raudman, Trace Adams, Brianna Fuller, and Colby Bergquist.
Heat 4: Blake (sub-Mason Smith) Carrick, Daniel Whitley, Anissa Curtice, Colby Fox, Solomon Fogde, Brody Armtrout, and Evan Rauscher.
Transferring out of the B Main was:
Lexi Raudman, Tyler Driever, Colby Fox, and Carson Raudman.
A Main: The first caution came out when Peacock spun coming out of turn 2. Butler stalled out of 4, bringing out the second caution and stalled out of 1, for another caution. A caution was thrown when it was determined that Baldez jumped the restart; he was set back to the 4th position. While under caution, coming to the yellow flag, Peacock, L. Raudman, Whitley, Curtice, Perkins, Matheny, Mittry, and Driever all tangled coming out of turn 1. Peacock and Curtice got together coming into 4, with Peacock off track, Butler close behind, ending their evening. L. Raudman and Mittry got together coming into 4, and L. Raudman also got loose going into 2, bringing out the next 2 cautions. Raudman entered the hot pits and Mittry exited the track with mechanical issues. Curtice and Driever got loose out of 2, while Baldez spun going into turn 4, for yet another caution. Curtice’s night was over. Baldez and C. Raudman got together out of 4. Going into turn 1, L.Raudman, Matheny, Driever, and Whitley got together with Matheny ending up on his lid, bringing out the red flag.
Capping off his championship and dash win, Tanner Holmes took home the win. Rounding out the top five: Carsen Perkins, Carson Sousa, Colby Fox, and Raymond Baldez.

Amanda Moore went to the top of the board in qualifying, with a time of 8.328. Second through sixth were Chase Majdic, Logan Seavey, Brandon LaChance, Michael Tarter, and Tanner (sub Ryan Whitley) Carrick.
From the drop of the green to the checkered flag Tarter led the way and got the win.
With the smallest qualifying field, there were only 4 heats, those transferring to the A were:
1: Morgan Sandhagen, Amanda Moore, and Michael Tarter.
2: Casey Schmitz, Michael Call, and Chase Majdic.
3: Logan Seavey, Chase Hill, and Ren Eberhart.
4; Tyler (sub Steven Gannon) Seavey, Jake Park, and Mike Wheeler.
Transferring out of the B:
Brandon LaChance, Tanner (sub Ryan Whitley) Carrick, Kyle Hossfeld, and Karsyn Elledge.
A Main: coming out of turn 1 Gannon spun and Seavey entered the hot pits under yellow. Whitley spun out of 2, bringing out the caution and Call entered the hot pits. Elledge got loose going into 4, bringing out the caution. Park, Tarter, and Whitley got together out of 2, Tarter entered the hot pits. The red was brought out when Gannon and Moore got together when Eberhart got into Moore on the back stretch, with Moore on her side. Tarter and Call entered the hot pits, once again and Gannon exited the track. Coming out of turn 4 Moore spun while trying to avoid Hossfeld, who had spun, but was able to stay under control and continue. The red flag was out with Whitley on his side, and Sandhagen and Elledge got together with Sandhagen needing medical assistance. Elledge had to go to the hot pits via the hook, Sandhagen’s night was over. Whitley exited the track.
Chase Majdic worked his way to the lead and the win, securing his Championship.

Coming into the night Daniel Thorson had already secured his championship. He qualified at the top 10 out of 13 races. Eric Gannon got the top spot, with a time of 8.579. Second – sixth: Shawn Fogerty, Shawn Milligan, Daniel Thorson, Michael Helwig, and Darin Spencer. Helwig got the win.
Transferring into the A out of their heats was:
1:Ethan Rohner, Eric Gannon, and Michael Helwig.
2: Donnie Ritcheson, Shawn Fogarty, and Darin Spencer.
3: Scott Morton, Braedon Enos, and Shawn Milligan.
4: Adam Schroer, Jojo Owens, and Daniel Thorson.
Transferring out of the B: Kris Renaud, Mallorie McGahan, Mike Hanson, and Jesse Iwuji.
A Main: There was a red flag when Ritcheson flipped coming out of 2, and Spencer rolled onto his side, on the back stretch. There was another red flag situation when, once again, Spencer got on his side coming out of 2. Renaud, McGahan, Gannon, Milligan, Enos, Iwuji, and Ritcheson were all a part of the Spencer incident.
Michael Helwig got the win with Thorson closely behind him. Iwuji got 3rd; Milligan and Rohner were 4th through 5th.
