Gary Jacob Autobiography

I have lived in Turlock, California for my entire life and have been covering motorsports since my senior year in high school in 1966. As an honor student in high school, I was pushed to add outside activities and I wrote for the high school newspaper and took pictures for the yearbook. Attending auto races predates my birth with my family as I learned it was the primary date function when my father was courting my mother. In my younger years, my father kept telling me that he could afford to take us to the races just once a month and my brother and I spent the entire month looking forward to that night.
